About Me
I have a master's degree in Clinical Health Sciences
St. Thomas University Mental
and I have a degree in Social Communication, mention Social Development. I am from Venezuela and have lived in Mexico, Scotland, and now Houston, TX since 2007.
I did my internship at St. Joseph-Houston Hospital, which is a psychiatric facility. At St. Joseph Hospital I facilitated group, individual and family psychotherapy on issues ranging from trauma, major depressive disorder, addiction, sexual abuse, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, suicidal and homicidal ideation.
I currently work in a private practice specializing in anxiety disorders, depression, phobias, and trauma. I also work with people who want to improve their personal growth, as well as solve certain problems that in one way or another are interfering with their daily life. I use a biopsychosocial approach that systematically considers psychological, biological, and social factors and their complex interactions that help me understand the patient's presentation.
